Digital Signage CMS with user/role management at Sportoase

When we first met Sportoase, they had already introduced digital signage. But because they couldn't quite do what they wanted, they asked us to provide extra features and comfort.

This chain of leisure centers with 17 branches and more than 3.5 million visitors per year needed an intelligent digital signage solution. When we first met Sportoase, they had already introduced digital signage. But because they couldn't quite do what they wanted, they asked us to provide extra features and comfort. Especially since they planned to expand the business with more locations across the country. It is only logical that the more locations you have, the more complex your digital signage setup becomes.

Firstly, all screens and players had to be managed centrally. One control system that could control every player and every screen, making it possible to control all screens remotely.

Centoview as CMS

Subsequently, the content management system (CMS) had to deliver either individual playlists or – if desired – playlists for specific player groups, making it possible to manage content that is relevant to all locations, but also making it possible to only display content on specific screens and locations. to show.

In terms of reliability, the system had to be very strong, guarantee constant uptime and not create black screens. Our in-house developed Centoview system works according to a store and forward principle, which guarantees a constant flow of messages. The content is first downloaded ('stored') locally on the players and then pushed ('forwarded') to the individual screens.

In the meantime, Sportoase installed both indoor and outdoor screens, so that communication with visitors can be optimized at all times. Screens have been installed everywhere in the branches: at the entrance, in the sports halls, at the restaurants, in the business centers and at the swimming pools. For example, screen communication is available at every strategic location.

Role management

Thanks to extensive role management in Centoview, third parties – such as an advertising agency – can also publish content on specific screens. Of course, the Sportoase management remains in full control and can overrule this content if desired. But it's a great way to share your digital signage capabilities with other partners and benefit financially through partnerships and sponsorships, for example.

Today, we are also implementing live streaming options, which allow people to watch TV while exercising. At the same time, a live dashboard keeps track of the gym members' score, with a motivational ranking to encourage people to get more out of their fitness performance.

Sportoase plans to expand in the coming years. We look forward to continuing to be a reliable partner for digital signage, ensuring professional and versatile screen communication.
